Accommodation

Bristol and Gloucestershire Wing

Since February 2008 the Bristol and Gloucestershire Wing group has used the Voderburger Hutte (Telephone 0049-8327-7763 incoming calls only) situated in the village of Vorderburg. Travelling time by coach to the ski areas is normally 30-40 minutes.

The accommodation is simple but adequate. Cadets are accommodated in multi-occupancy rooms on the first and second floor of the building. Some staff stay in rooms on the cadet floors to provide supervisory cover. Others live next door above the restaurant where the party takes meals. There are a number of communal areas where cadets can relax and table tennis is available for energetic individuals.

All meals, except lunch, are taken at the lodge in the restaurant. An ex-British Army chef cooks meals and acts as the local agent for Exercise Alpine Adventure.

South West Region

South West Region cadets stay at the Haus am Brunnenbach (also known as the HAB) (Telephone +49 8321 82450 or 88619) Website www.bavarianholiday.com

The HAB is situated at Ortwanger approximately 3 km north of Sonthofen and was formerly the ski lodge belonging to the Queen's Own Hussars. Comfortable multi occupancy rooms are situated on the first and second floors. Staff are also accommodated within the HAB. Breakfast and evening meal are served in the downstairs common room. Travelling time to the ski areas is normally about 30 minutes.

Canteen

Cans and confectionery can be purchased from a canteen carried on the coach during ski days and from the lodges during the evenings.
